Vivica A. Fox Reveals Larenz Tate as One of the First Actors to Share a Tongue Kiss with Her in a Film | Video

*In a new episode of TV One’s “UNCENSORED,” Vivica A. Fox revealed Larenz Tate as one of the first actors to share a tongue kiss with her in a film.

The pair starred in the 1998 movie “Why Do Fools Fall In Love?”. Directed by Gregory Nava, Fox portrays one of singer Frankie Lymon’s (Tate) love interests.

“Wow, that Larenz Tate. Did I learn so much watching him and how he could go from being the drug addict to then the singer,” she says in the episode, Vibe reports. “Great kisser, by the way. He was like one of the first guys that I let tongue kiss me on screen.”

Fox has also kissed Will Smith and Morris Chestnut on the big screen, so when asked to name the best kisser, Fox crowned Chestnut as the victor.

“Between Will Smith, Morris Chestnut, and Larenz Tate—Morris Chestnut. Chocolate drop is the best kisser. But I have a cardinal rule: I don’t date any of my co-stars. I don’t at all,” Fox added in the YouTube clip above.

Meanwhile, the actress and her “Soul Food” castmates recently reunited to celebrate the film’s 27th anniversary.

“Soul Food” premiered on September 26, 1997, and reportedly earned $43 million at the box office against a $7 million budget. The film, from director George Tillman Jr., was based on his childhood experiences growing up in Wisconsin.

In 2000, “Soul Food” was adapted into a drama series for Showtime that aired until 2004.

The film cast appeared on GMA3 to celebrate the title streaming on Hulu’s “Black Stories Always” campaign. Watch the interview below.
