*A Texas teacher and her son have been arrested after allegedly recruiting minor students for prostitution. FOX26 Houston reports that Klein ISD teacher Kedria Grisby, 42, and her son Roger Magee, 22, are charged with three counts of trafficking a child and three counts of compelling prostitution on juveniles.
The three underage victims, aged 15, 16, and 17, were reportedly runaways and students where Grisby taught. According to police, Grisby helped her son take in troubled juveniles from a local high school and provided them with a hotel where illegal sex acts allegedly occurred. Several teens have reported that Grigsby attempted to recruit them at school.
Magee was arrested in November 2022 and remains in a Harris County jail, according to FOX26. In court, text messages were presented as evidence showing him discussing Zelle with one of the complainants to process payments. Magee and his mother are each facing prostitution and sex trafficking charges.
Grisby’s bond was set at $750,000. As part of her release conditions, she is prohibited from contacting witnesses and having unsupervised contact with minors.

The Klein ISD School District released a statement in response to the teacher’s arrest:
“Law enforcement notified us that cosmetology teacher Kedria Grigsby was taken into custody for felony charges of sex trafficking and compelling prostitution. As soon as we were notified of this information, the district took immediate action, apprehended, and immediately placed Ms. Grigsby on administrative leave. Klein ISD has NO intention of allowing this individual back to Klein Cain or any Klein ISD school, and we will report to all appropriate agencies at the conclusion of the investigation.”
The district added, “Let us be clear: any behavior harming children is deplorable, and we will always fully cooperate with our many law enforcement partners to ensure anyone engaging in such acts is brought to justice.”
The statement continued, “Parents, please speak to your children about this matter, and if you have information to share, please report it to the Klein ISD police at the phone numbers listed below. We understand that this news is unsettling. Rest assured, we are committed to dealing with this situation transparently.”
