*Grammy-nominated R&B singer and songwriter, Summer Walker has announced Over It Radio, a new radio series airing exclusively on Apple Music’s global live-streaming radio station.
The news release states that the “six-episode series will be released ahead of her forthcoming, highly anticipated third studio album, Finally Over It, and following her current Billboard Hot 100 single “Heart Of A Woman.” The show will feature Summer discussing various themes including relationships, motherhood, friendship, and music — both her music and music she is into right now.”
“My vision for ‘Over It Radio’ is to create a safe space where I can own my own narrative and provide a platform for the women I admire in the entertainment industry to do the same. We discuss the topics that matter to them, without any hidden agendas,” Walker tells Apple Music.
“Listeners can look forward to hearing powerful, accomplished women celebrating their successes, sharing their frustrations about what they’re ready to move on from and keeping it real about the challenges they face as women, mothers and entrepreneurs,” she added.
In the premiere episode airing Friday, December 13, Walker is joined by her close friend and collaborator, Sexyy Red. The duo discusses their past projects and shares funny advice with a fan seeking help with a tricky relationship situation.
Summer shared the news on Instagram Monday morning. In the post, she wrote: “I’m really happy to release my Apple Over It Radio show I had a lot of good guests & plenty of good convos getting to know everyone. For once I enjoyed my job lol it was really fun, & it’s kinda nice for everyone to actually see my personality… ive never talked this much… ever.. since I’ve came into the industry lol so yay glad I’m coming out my shell. S/o to Apple, yall team was so nice & fun🥰 #OverItRadio Episode 1 drops Friday.”
