*We have some not-so-good news from Cori Broadus, the 24-year-old daughter of Snoop Dogg (real name: Calvin Broadus). She revealed that she’s currently hospitalized after suffering a severe stroke.
She announced the serious news via Instagram on Thursday morning. Cori said she broke down in tears when doctors told her what had happened. And who could blame her?
In multiple posts, Cori included images inside a hospital, so it appears she’s still receiving treatment after getting the shocking news.
It’s obvious the stroke episode is wearing on mentally as well because she wrote in one IG story, “I’m only 24 what did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
In none of her IG posts did Cori explain what led to her having the stroke, however, she was diagnosed with lupus at six.
Cori Broadus’ journey also included a 2021 suicide attempt. However, things were looking much better for her just last year (2023) in September after taking a holistic approach to her health. Here’s what she told People:
“I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been. I stopped taking all of my medication like five months ago. I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas.”
“I started working out, drinking lots of water. So now I think my body’s like, okay, this is the new program, and she’s getting used to it,” she added.
Cori went on to explain that the transition after the longtime use of medications made her “feel like I was going insane.”
