*“Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star Ryan Henry posted a domestic violence PSA in honor of his sister and niece, Nova Henry and Ava Henry Curry, who were murdered 15 years ago.
Ryan took to Instagram on Jan. 24 to recount the day Chicago attorney Fredrick Goings murdered Nova, 24, and 10-month-old Ava on Jan. 24, 2009. At the time, Frederick and Nova had been in a two-year relationship, the Chicago Tribune reported. According to Ryan, the pair were “broken up and separated” when Goings showed up at Nova’s home and said he wanted to see her because it was his birthday.
In the post, Henry noted that Fredrick “had a gun on him” and “ knew what he intended to do.”
Nova was shot six times, and Ava was shot twice — once in the head.
MadameNoire reports that Goings was convicted in 2013 of two counts of murder and sentenced to life in prison.

“Happy birthday, to this bitch ass nigga,” Ryan began his Instagram post. “He sittin somewhere rotting away still celebrating it. I hate doing this annually when I’d rather just shut in, but Ladies, this is for you,” he wrote.
“If you see the signs of things getting bad with that man… it don’t get no better. Take those signs and get the fuck away! Without a dime, you still need to leave,” Henry added.
“Take heed, ladies. You are worth it all, and use my family’s loss as your strength… F*ck that nigga. I don’t care what God he finds in prison for life, I will never forgive, He will not find God and go to the same heaven as my sister and niece… #NovAva 1/24,” the post continued.
