*A nanny is suing LaKeith Stanfield and his wife, Kasmere Trice, for creating a toxic work environment.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the couple is accused of not paying the woman for services following an eight-day trip. They also worked her to the grind, with “no breaks to use the restroom, eat, or even shower.”

The woman’s name has been withheld, but The Blast reports that she is a traveling nanny who began working for the Stanfields in October 2023.

The couple paid a $500 daily fee for the nanny to supervise their infant 24 hours daily. According to the legal complaint, LaKeith and his wife seemingly dumped the kid with the woman during her employment.

During the employment, the woman claims she typically “worked all day and night” as Stanfield and his wife seemingly had little involvement with the baby while under the nanny’s care.

Trice allegedly responded to the requests aggressively whenever the nanny needed a break.

Things came to a head during a trip to NYC, and “Trice messaged her that the infant would be in her care on the drive to the airport and during the return flight,” The Blast writes.

The nanny wasn’t comfortable traveling alone with the infant during the return flight, but Trice allegedly told her, “That’s the role of the travel nanny.” Trice allegedly told the nanny to find her own transportation back to Los Angeles.

When she returned to LA, the woman invoiced the couple, but they allegedly refused to pay.

According to the lawsuit, she was terminated for complaining about the Stanfields’ “various wage and hour violations.”

“As a direct and legal result of Defendants’ retaliatory actions against Plaintiff, Plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer general, consequential, and special damages including but not limited to substantial losses in earnings, other employment benefits, physical injuries, physical sickness, as well as emotional distress, plus medical expenses, future medical expenses, and attorneys’ fees, all to her damage in an amount according to proof,” the document read, according to The Blast.
