*As hard-working Americans struggle to make ends meet in Joe Biden’s economy,  NYC Mayor Eric Adams announced plans to distribute $53 million to city migrants on pre-paid credit cards.

The Daily Mail reports that recipients must sign an affidavit promising to use the card for food and baby supplies. The cards can only be used at bodegas, grocery stores, supermarkets, and convenience stores. A family of four will get a card loaded with $ 1,000 a month, The New York Post reports. Cards get refilled every 28 days.

A company called MoCaFi, founded by former Wall Street financier Wole Coaxum, is running the program.

“MoCaFi looks forward to partnering with New York City to disburse funds for asylum seekers to purchase fresh, hot food,” Coaxum said.

“MoCaFi’s goal is to expand access to financial resources for individuals excluded from banking, such as asylum seekers, while helping the local economy,” Coaxum added.

“Not only will this provide families with the ability to purchase fresh food for their culturally relevant diets and the baby supplies of their choosing, but the pilot program is expected to save New York City more than $600,000 per month, or more than $7.2 million annually,” said Kayla Mamelak, Adams’s spokesperson.

Over the past year, 70,000 migrants have been bussed or flown to New York City.

According to reports, immigrants housed at The Roosevelt Hotel will be among the first to receive pre-paid cards.

Meanwhile, rapper 50 Cent hit up Instagram Saturday to blast the program, The Post reports.

“WTF mayor Adams call my phone, I don’t understand how this works 🤷🏽‍♂️somebody explain,” he wrote along with a screenshot of The Post’s report about the debit cards. “Can’t explain this I’m stuck maybe TRUMP is the answer.”
