*A mother and daughter were killed after being run over by a speeding car while leaving a Drake concert in St. Louis on Feb 14.
The tragic moment was caught on video, showing Laticha Bracero and her daughter Alyssa Cordova, 21, walking through a crosswalk when “a car comes flying into frame, blowing through a red light and sideswiping another car before running them over,” TMZ writes.
The 22-year-old driver, Monte Henderson, reportedly ran a red light while speeding at over 70 MPH, causing the fatal crash. He was located and arrested shortly after the incident and released on $20,000 bail.
The Cordovas traveled from Chicago to St. Louis to attend the Drake concert.
The family launched a GoFundMe to help pay for funeral arrangements.
“Laticha ‘Lety’ Bracero and Alyssa Cordova come from a close, strong family in Chicago. Lety was a hard-working supervisor at Wintrust bank and a dedicated mother, loving sister, niece/cousin,” the fundraiser states.
“Her only child Alyssa was going to college and working part time for Starbucks. Alyssa loved music concerts and although was old enough to travel to concerts on her own, her mom would always escort her,” the family wrote. “The two were inseparable and shared a strong bond.”
“The family is extremely devastated by this horrific tragedy,” they added.
