Keyshia Cole, 42, Responds to Critics of Her Relationship with 24-Year-Old Rapper

*Keyshia Cole responded to criticism of her new romance with a rapper half her age.

We reported earlier that the 42-year-old songstress sparked dating rumors with the 24-year-old drill rapper Hunxho when they were spotted holding hands at a club in Atlanta earlier this month. On April 15, Cole hit up X/Twitter to write, “@hunxho mine.” Hunxho responded with a heart emoji.

Essence reports that an X user called out Cole after she swooned over Hunxho, writing, “Your kids right behind him, heal and go get boobie back,” referring to Cole’s ex-husband, Daniel Gibson.

“Girl f–k u, my kid is 14,” the singer responded. “I wish I would go backwards. Y’all crazy asf,” she wrote.

Cole wed former NBA player Daniel Gibson in 2011, but the marriage ended in 2017 due to Gibson’s infidelity. They share a 13-year-old son.

Another fan asked whether Cole had daddy issues.

“The way you all try to protect me is really a blessing. Y’all just do it wrong asf,” she said, adding, “my adopted father raised me well. Go rewatch the reality show,” Cole added, referring to her former BET series Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is.

Last year, Cole made her acting debut when she played herself in a Lifetime biopic following her early days in Oakland.
