*Nike’s “Winning Isn’t for Everyone” campaign for the Paris Olympics features stars like William Defoe, LeBron James, Serena Williams, Kobe Bryant, and Victor Wembanyama. However, Kevin Durant, a three-time Olympic gold medalist, was notably absent.
According to Footwear News, Durant voiced his disappointment on Instagram, questioning why Nike left him out despite his long-term association with the brand and consistent participation with Team USA.
The Olympic gold medal winner posted photos of him with Team USA with the captions, “Nike tell me, am I a bad person?” and “Been wit [sic] yall every step of the way.”
He also referenced the 2020 Olympics, which took place in 2021 because of the pandemic, saying, “Even during the quarantine Olympics.”
