*The official X account for The Democrats posted a video on Tuesday (Nov. 26) of Vice President Kamala Harris delivering her first message to supporters after losing the presidential election to Donald Trump.
In the clip, Harris praised the progress made on her “unprecedented” campaign and noted that the hard work will have a “lasting effect.”
“The outcome of this election obviously is not what we wanted. It is not what we worked so hard for. But I am proud of the race we ran, and your role in this was critical. What we did in 107 days was unprecedented,” Harris said.
“I know that this is an uncertain time,” she added. “I’m clear-eyed about that. I know you’re clear-eyed about it, and it feels heavy. I just have to remind you, don’t you ever let anybody take your power from you. You have the same power that you did before November 5, and you have the same purpose that you did. You have the same ability to engage and inspire, so don’t ever let anybody or any circumstances take your power from you.”
Many supporters are now calling for the clip to be pulled from social media because Harris appears drunk and like she has aged 10 years since her last public appearance. Political nepo baby Meagan McCain retweeted the video with the caption: “Take this down. She’s still the sitting Vice President for Gods sake – this is awful. Like really, really awful.”
One person on X wrote, “The left got exactly what they deserved for lying to the American people about Biden’s mental decline and then gifting the nomination to a woman with an obvious drinking problem. It cost them the presidency and $1.5 billion on Harris’ celebrity endorsements.”
A third person compared Harris to their aunt who “speaks like that when she’s had xanax and wine.”
One critic called the new Harris video “tone deaf, ridiculous crap” and added, “Kamala didn’t just lose – she lost by a landslide and is the last person anyone wants to hear from. And @TheDemocrats – you might want to make sure she’s not drunk before making these videos.”
X user Tim Young believes the video’s release was a calculated move by Democrats. He wrote, “Why would the Democrats put this video out of a clearly drunk Kamala?? They want her career over.”
