*Dame Dash expressed his displeasure with Steve Stoute’s discussion of his rift with JAY-Z during his interview on Club Shay Shay.
Stoute offered his viewpoint on Dash and why individuals eventually distanced themselves from the entrepreneur.
“Dame wouldn’t change,” he told Club Shay Shay host Shannon Sharpe, Vibe reports. “The way he spoke to people, the way he treated people. He was angry. He was angry because he had a strong perspective about his business philosophy.”
The music executive asserted that Dash was unaware that his wild lifestyle drove people away.
In the interview, which aired on Wednesday, Stoute told Sharpe that the people around Dash during his heyday at Roc-A-Fella “wanted to meet with other people.”

“People were becoming less beholden to him but he was unaware of it,” Steve added. “And then while he was building businesses, he would go off all around the world with cameras and girls and all kinds of crazy shit, and then come back flipping on everybody as if [they were wrong].”
He added: “Jay grew up, Jay wanted more. I think Jay saw Dame’s ceiling and I think that’s really what it was. He wanted more. Everybody wanted more. Dame just had a very particular way of approaching things.”
Stoute said Dame is “far from stupid,” calling him “very smart” and “very talented,” but noted that no one wanted to work with him due to his massive ego.
The Roc-A-Fella co-founder hit up Instagram to clap back, recalling when he smacked Stoute several years ago.
Dash shared a clip of Stoute speaking to Sharpe about why JAY-Z ultimately parted ways with him. He wrote in the caption, “This is the reason I had to smack the sh*t out of @stevestoute a couple years ago… because he’s always speaking on other men’s business good thing I’ve evolved #staytuned @clubshayshay #culturevulture.”
