*Bishop T.D. Jakes took to social media on Wednesday to share a health update following a recent medical emergency during his Sunday sermon. Watch the moment above.

As we reported earlier, Bishop Jakes experienced a medical episode during his sermon at The Potter’s House in Dallas on (Nov. 24). While addressing the congregation and livestream audience, he suddenly stopped speaking and began to tremble, prompting immediate assistance from those nearby. The livestream cut off shortly after the incident.

A video of the event has since circulated widely, though the church has not disclosed details about the nature of the health scare. In a statement shared on Instagram, they assured the public that he is stable and receiving medical care.

In an Instagram video, Bishop Jakes expressed gratitude for the support he has received. In the caption, he wrote: “Serving God’s people is an extraordinary privilege, and Sunday was no exception. I gave my all in delivering the message God placed on my heart. Even when I sensed the weight of my humanity and pushed through, I’m reminded that even the strongest must rely on His strength.”

Jakes added, “I thank the Lord that I did not suffer a stroke; however, the event could have been fatal if not for God’s intervention. A special thank you to God and the medical professionals in our city for their swift and exceptional care.”

The bishop continued, “My job now is to rest and reflect on God’s protection. I owe it to my amazing family and church members to take time for recuperation as He restores me for His service. As God calls us to honor the Sabbath, I’m reminded that rest is not a weakness – it is a divine gift.”

Bishop Jakes said he “heard from friends around the world who’ve expressed God’s love in remarkable ways.”

“I’m forever humbled by your outpouring of love and support. I will always give my best. May His presence continue to guide and sustain you, providing peace and protection over you all,” he wrote.
