*In a new Instagram video, Beyoncé flaunts her long, luxurious locks — appearing to address speculation and “misconceptions” about whether she wears a wig.
The superstar promotes her hair care line Cécred in the clip, giving fans a glimpse of her haircare routine using the brand’s products.
“Now that Cécred is known for the quality and what it does for your hair, I think it’s about time I show y’all what it does for my hair,” she said in a voiceover. “I love the lather. It’s very soothing, the smells.”
Queen Bey made a point to address the “misconception” that she typically wears a long platinum blonde wig due to damage to her natural hair.
“The stigma and misconception is that people who wear wigs don’t have long and healthy hair,” she said. “That’s some bulls*** because it ain’t nobody’s business.”

Bey added, “It’s never grown so long, never been so moisturized, and I’ve managed to keep my texture and my curls even with my hair so blonde and my hair is flourishing.”
Beyoncé told Harper’s Bazaar in 2021, “There is power in community, and I saw that growing up the daughter of a salon owner. I was exposed to so many entrepreneurial women that I admired. Doctors, business owners, artists, teachers, mothers — they all came through my mom’s salon. I saw firsthand how a salon can be a sanctuary for women.”
She continued, “I’ve seen how much Black women’s emotions are attached to our hair and beauty,” Bey also told the magazine. “The beauty industry does not always understand these emotions and what we need. I want to build a community where women of all races can communicate and share some of those secrets, so we can continue to support and take care of each other. I want to give women a space to feel their strength and tell their stories. That is power.”
