*Angel Reese attended this year’s ComplexCon 2024 and chatted with Speedy Morman about life in the WNBA, and her private relationships off the court.
When asked about her dating life, the rookie said you won’t catch her packing on PDA, the Jasmine BRAND reports. “People always trying to find something, like, every time. It’s exhausting. I think people just need to mind their business. So if you were to go date somebody, they’re still gonna find some little thing that she did in 2016 that you shouldn’t be worried about, and it’s none of their business,” she told Morman.
Reese also recalled how her exes were constantly dragged on social media.
“It’s really about the other person, because I don’t like when people attack the other person. I’ve been in other situations or relationships where I’ve gone to their comments and all I see is, ‘Angel Reese, Angel Reese, Angel Reese, Angel Reese.’ I want them to live their life and I want to live my life and we can live our lives together,” she explained.
“And I don’t like the pressure of dating me being on you. That’s why I keep it also private just to protect the other person, as well,” she continued.
“So, like I said: My private life is my private life. You’ll never see me in a relationship publicly until I’m married,” the Bayou Barbie added.
“I said what I said. Now if y’all see speculations and y’all see something, that’s what y’all see, but on my page, you won’t see me with no man,” she continued.
Angel previosuly addressed her critics during a recent Instagram Live while pointing out that the Chicago Sky doesn’t cover her major expenses, like rent.
“Hating pays them bills, baby. I just hope you know the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all,” she said. “I don’t even think that pays one of my bills. Literally, I’m trying to think of my rent for where I stay at. Let me do the math real quick. I don’t even know my [WNBA] salary. $74,000?”
After a friend calculated that Reese’s salary doesn’t cover her $8,000 rent, the LSU alum added: “I’m living above my means!” Check out the clip above.
“Babe, if y’all thought… That WNBA check don’t pay a thing. Did that even pay my car note?… I wouldn’t even be able to eat a sandwich with that. I wouldn’t even be able to eat. I wouldn’t be able to live,” Reese explained in the X clip below.
