Pulliam’s 98.8 FM station offers various live and recorded radio shows, podcasts, and new artist reviews. Some of the shows include The Christian Podcast hosted by Reuben Koomson, Rebecca Riziki, James Wanaka, and Edwin Mello; there is the Pastor Gino Jennings’ Podcast, and Phil Roberts’ Podcast “Finding Peace of Mind in Christ” – to name a few. Alander Pulliam, a Harvard-educated film producer is based in Los Angeles. He expresses a desire to give independent artists a helping hand.
The ULMII International Talent Competition is known for providing a helping hand and has helped launch careers such as Grammy-winning Miquel (“Adorn”) who was signed to a major record deal by a Los Angeles ULMII panelist – a Sr. V.P. at Jive Records. There is also actress Naturi Naughten (STARZ “Power”) who sang at the Baltimore ULMII and was scouted at ULMII by a Broadway agent. After her Broadway run, she joined the R&B girl group 3LW, and from there she landed the starring role in the STARZ Network drama “Power.” Singer/dancer RoShon Fegan performed at ULMII in Los Angeles and his manager said that the information provided by the panel helped him take RoShon to the next level – starring in two Disney sitcoms and then starring on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” The Feather Stone Brothers performed an original song at the Baltimore ULMII and the song was heard by Diamond selling SisQo (Dru Hill) who was there to promote his solo album. He placed the song on Dru Hill’s 3rd album as “I Should Be (Your Boy Friend).” The single was released as the first song and music video from the album becoming a platinum selling hit. The Featherstone brothers went on to write/produce for many other high-profile acts such as Chris Brown.
