*A roller coaster manufacturer is developing a 1,000-foot-tall ride that aims to break all height and speed records.
According to The Orange County Register, the project is now in secret development, with industry expert Dennis Speigel confirming its feasibility and seeking a theme park to bring the colossal coaster to life.
“The project is still under heavy wraps with the final international location yet to be announced,” Speigel wrote on the International Theme Park Services website. “But the progress is quite well along and so far is nothing short of breathtaking in every sense of the meaning.”
Speigel was given a private preview of the groundbreaking 1,000-foot coaster by an undisclosed manufacturer, who asked him to keep details confidential. He explained that advancements in computer and AI-assisted design have made this once-impossible project a reality.
“It’s only a matter of time and financial investment before this aspiration becomes a reality,” Speigel wrote.

Per The OC Register, Six Flags’ Kingda Ka coaster in New Jersey, standing at 456 feet, held the title of the world’s tallest coaster. However, it is scheduled to be removed in 2026 and replaced by a new record-breaking coaster. The planned 1,000-foot ride would set a new world record for the tallest coaster.
Currently, the tallest operating coaster is Superman: Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain, standing at 415 feet, while Cedar Point’s 420-foot Top Thrill 2 is closed for repairs. Additionally, Falcon’s Flight, set to debut in 2025 at Six Flags Qiddiya in Saudi Arabia, will claim the title of the world’s tallest coaster at 640 feet.
