*Days after Van Jones shined a not-so-flattering light on him, Vivek Ramaswamy responded to the criticism.

According to The Hill, there was no censor on the presidential contender, who let Jones and the mainstream media know exactly how he felt about Jones’ views on him.

“And then you get the mainstream media. You got this character, Van Jones, on CNN afterward saying, ‘This is the rise of an American demagogue, who’s going to live 50 years longer than Trump. This is dangerous. I am shaking.’ That’s what he says. Just shut the f‑‑‑ up. At a certain point, just shut the f‑‑‑ up. Van Jones at CNN,” Ramaswamy said Dec. 17 in a Turning Point USA conference speech.

“We demand a government that tells us the truth again in this country. That’s what we require,” he added. “We can handle the truth. That’s what it means to be a citizen of this country,” Ramaswamy said.

Ramaswamy’s comments come after Jones called him despicable earlier this month. According to Jones, in Ramaswamy, America was seeing the “rise of an American demagogue that is a very, very despicable person.”

At the heart of Jones’ criticism is Ramaswamy’s acknowledgment of the “Great Replacement Theory.” The Hill noted the term “a white supremacist conspiracy theory that posits that liberals and Jewish people are seeking to replace white voters with migrants.”

“I was shaking listening to him talk because many people don’t know. That is one step away from Nazi propaganda coming out of his mouth,” Jones noted, regarding Ramaswamy’s referencing the Great Replacement Theory and several other far-right conspiracy theories at the last GOP presidential debate.

Despite creating a buzz with entry into the presidential race, Ramaswamy is currently experiencing a downslide in support of his GOP presidential campaign. In his speech, the businessman aimed at Jones, calling the CNN correspondent a “character.”
