*Popular TikToker Tabitha Brown won her first Emmy award over the weekend during the 2nd annual Children’s & Family Emmys.
The North Carolina native won the Outstanding Host category for her online children’s show “Tab Time.” The New York Times bestselling author is a vegan food star with 4.3 million Instagram followers and 5.1 million followers on TikTok.
During her acceptance speech at the second annual Children’s and Family Emmy Awards on Dec. 17, Brown explained why her kids’ show aims to teach children “how to always let love inside.”
“If we all just let a little love inside, we never know what we’ll find,” she said, Blavity reports.
“And so my prayer is always that–especially for children–we teach them how to always let love inside so that one day we grow up and we sit in here in comfortable dresses and things, and we still are excited to let love inside. And the hope is that we are changing the world a little bit at a time.”

Brown, 44, also gushed about her Emmy win on Instagram, writing in part, “OOOHHH GOD I THANK YOU[!] Family!!!!! Tab done messed around and won an @televisioanacad Emmy for @officialtabtime[.]”
She recently announced her new book, “I Did a New Thing,” through Harper Collins. According to a news release, the book is an inspirational guide for encouraging positive changes in your life.
In “I Did a New Thing,” Brown “shares her own stories and those of others, alongside gentle guidance and encouragement to create these incredible changes for yourself and see what good can come from them,” the release states.
Brown wants you to try one new thing every day for thirty days.
She announced “a birthday tour” on Instagram to celebrate the new book with her fans.
“My new book is called I did a new thing, so I’m doing something new for my birthday,” Brown wrote, adding, “… Im going on a birthday tour.”
She added, “I’m so excited to celebrate with yall!! I can’t wait.”
