*NeNe Leakes is opening up about dating in her 50s in the relaunch of her web series titled “Life of Nene Leakes.”
In the latest episode, the 55-year-old widow told fans, “It’s hard being single” after breaking up with businessman Nyonisela Sioh. The two dated for nearly two years before calling it quits this year. As SandraRose.com reports, NeNe called Nyonisela a “narcissist” who “checks every single box.”
“They talk to lots of women,” NeNe said about narcissists. “They’re just major cheaters and they’re heart breakers and they’re not good people.”
In the video update, Leakes explains that she finds dating after 50 quite challenging. Her husband, Gregg Leakes, passed away two years ago after a battle with colon cancer.
“Maybe I should marry just so that I have a partner for life … who will help you when you’re sick and take care of you,” Leakes said during an emotional episode of her “Pillow Talk with Nene” YouTube series on October 10.
When NeNe was recently asked to give a doctor an emergency contact, she realized that losing Gregg left a void in her life, Us reports.
“I was filling out the information, and they asked for my emergency contact, and I got really emotional,” she said.
“It came over me out of nowhere because I was literally looking at the paper like, ‘Who is it that I would want somebody to call in case something happens,’” Leakes explained.
September 1 marked the two-year anniversary of Gregg’s death.
“Maybe I should just marry whether I’m 100% happy with the person or not,” Leakes told viewers, Page Six reports. “Maybe I should marry just so that I have a partner — a partner for life.”
The reality star said the person might not be right for her, but “at least there’s someone.”
“Maybe we will have an agreement that this person would be there for me and I would be there for them [during] hard times or medical times,” she added.
“But doing that, you have to know that person will probably be talking to other people and loving other people and they’re just with you through the hard times,” Leakes continued.
“I considered it but I know that it’s not who I am as a person. I really would want to be with somebody that really loves me and really… wanted to be there for me,” she said.
