*Myles Truitt plays B-Mickey on the hit STARZ true-life crime drama “BMF,” and we caught up with the actor to dish on what fans can expect as we get closer to the season finale.
B-Mickey, Meech (Demetrius Flenory Jr.), and Terry (Da’Vichini) were the original OG 50 Boyz crew members that launched BMF. B-Mickey was their enforcer, and season one saw the character dealing with a lot of personal loss from the 80s Detroit dope game. Season two finds him in a compromising position with Detective Bryant (Steve Harris) who has a personal and professional vendetta against Meech and BMF.
On the BMF side, B-Mickey is trying to assert himself with Meech and keep his trust. Plus, he’s dealing with high emotions from murdering Kaito in season one and their unborn child.
Truitt spoke exclusively with EURweb about B-Mickey’s dilemma heading into the final episodes of the season.

Truitt shared that in season two, he wanted to show the more human side of his character. He explained, “You got a little glimpse of his animal-savvy killing side in season one. This season, I wanted to represent more of a relatable character for the audience. You see more of a spiritual side of him. The situations and experiences that he goes home to. The people that he goes home to. All of that is parallel to his mother. That’s all parallel to the two homicides and the gun being held over his head.”
The actor continued, “I hope people can see themselves in him. He represents that everyday corner boy or gangster you see on the corner.”
Truitt noted that B-Mickey understands his role in the BMF organization, but he feels that it’s time Meech understands he knows what he’s doing. “B-Mickey went through psychological warfare,” the actor explained, “He only trusts himself. He’s way more observant.”
Truitt said that although he didn’t have “B-Mickey” on set to gain insight from to help inform the character, he has texted him to talk to him as much as he can throughout the season for his input on the episodes. The actor has even defended the man’s character on social media.
“I’m his page looking at the comments, and I defend him. I know it wasn’t a snitch. I know that. If he were, he probably wouldn’t be here.”
Truitt makes clear that there is more to the story that hasn’t been told because some of these guys are still incarcerated.
“As far as what is true when it comes to B Mickey’s character, all I know is that I tried my best to make it as authentic and real as possible for the audience to have a love for him, rather than a hate. That was my main objective. To see him as a human being, not to see him as a snitch, and not to see him as a killer. Because easily anybody on that show could have been in the same position,” he explained.
The season finale of “BMF” airs Friday, March 17.
