*Kenya Moore wants her estranged husband Marc Daly to pay her legal fees as part of their ongoing bitter divorce battle.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star wants her ex to pay up for making her fight him over a settlement reached as part of their divorce, RadarOnline.com reports. According to the outlet, the former couple are due in court this month to face off over child support and the division of property. Moore and Daly split in 2019 and filed for divorce in 2021. They share a minor daughter named Brooklyn.
Marc claims a deal was reached in May but Kenya refused to execute it to make it official. Per MadameNoire, Moore’s latest motion states that Daly “was not negotiating in good faith.”
An attorney for the former beauty queen advised her to end the hours-long mediation due to Daly’s “inability to agree on most essential terms.”
“It is well established that no contract exists until all essential terms have been agreed to, and the failure to agree to even one essential term means that there is no agreement to be enforced. An agreement between two parties will occur only when the minds meet at the same time, upon the same subject matter, and in the same sense,” Moore’s lawyer noted, MadameNoire reports.
“During the over seven-hour mediation, [Daly] made clear many of the terms in dispute he would not agree to. Through [Daly’s] own omission, he stated, ‘I did not agree with the proposed terms.’ Mediation was ended without [Moore’s] counsel being informed of any agreement and thus was not signed with counsel or [Moore],” the docs state.
Daly will reportedly have new legal counsel representing him during the next court hearing this month.
The restauranteur claims Kenya is stalling in an attempt to “expand these proceedings.”
