*Keke Palmer’s ex-boyfriend, Darius Jackson, has filed a restraining order against the actress days after he reportedly filed a counterclaim accusing her of “abusive conduct.”
According to the new legal docs, Jackson is requesting a domestic violence temporary restraining order against Palmer, claiming she has been physically abusive towards him during their two-year relationship, TMZ reports.
Last month, Palmer was granted a temporary restraining order against Jackson after accusing him of physical abuse. She also received custody of their infant son Leodis. Palmer submitted evidence allegedly showing Jackson abusing her as part of a restraining order against him.
Complex reports that Jackson recently filed a counterclaim with the Los Angeles County Superior Court. He claims the “Nope” star “repeatedly engaged in abusive conduct” and “acted as the primary aggressor” during their relationship.
Jackson said Palmer “punched [him] in the face” in August 2021, “punched the windshield of [his] car” in January 2022, and “physically attacked [him] by choking and hitting [him]” in February 2022, per Complex.
On Tuesday, Jackson requested a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Palmer. He wants a judge to issue an order requiring his ex-girlfriend to stay 100 yards away.
Jackson cites four violent instances in his filing, saying a majority occurred when Palmer was fueled by alcohol. He also names a friend of Keke’s who attempted to intervene when she punched him in the face at a birthday party in 2021.
Palmer, he claims, would text him several times to apologize after these hostile physical confrontations.
When the court decides on his petition, Jackson wants Palmer’s restraining order against him to be considered simultaneously.
Jackson recently told his Instagram followers that he got baptized as part of his healing process amid the drama with Palmer.
“There’s A LOT I can say but not allowed to say. And at this point, don’t even want to say. I will say, however, that God is & will always be your greatest ally,” Jackson captioned an Instagram video showing him working out.
Jackson said the baptism “was the 1st step” in “Saving myself.”
