Chilli’s man, Matthew Lawrence, says an agency fired him for declining to disrobe for director in a hotel room. Lawrence shared his harrowing experience with his brothers, Joey and Andrew Lawrence, on their Brotherly Love podcast on Friday, People reports. “I lost my agency because I went to the hotel room — which I can’t believe they would send me to — of a very prominent Oscar award-winning director who showed up in his robe, asked me to take my clothes off and said he needed to take Polaroids of me,” Lawrence recalled. “And if I did X, Y and Z, I would be the next Marvel character.” He continued, “Not a lot of guys, in my opinion, have come out and talked about this in the industry. Now, granted, it’s probably about a third of what women go through. Men go through this as well.” Smh, the casting couch is alive and well in Tinseltown.
Pastor Jamal Bryant of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and his congregation “stood in the gap” for Jamiya Bratcher and her twin brother Jaden Bratcher, 18-year-old twins thrown out into the streets by their adoptive parents. Pastor Bryant said the twins have a full college scholarship and a home to live in when they arrive in Atlanta. Jaden is currently staying with his biological family in Chicago.
