Diddy and Yung Miami Talk To Apple Music About Their Relationship…

Diddy: What was your favorite time that I took you off the grid?

Yung Miami: I don’t know if you all can get the real details.

Diddy: We can push the envelope.

Yung Miami: We had went to Love Island for my birthday. For the very first time.

Diddy: I have an island. [laughter] This is just for inspirational motivation. You don’t know a lot of Black men that come from the hood that got an island. I have an island called Love Island. So when I took you to Love Island, then you realized that the plane landed and then we had to float to another island. What was going through your head?

Yung Miami: “It’s different over here. Thank you god.” [laughter] But it was my birthday.

It was me and all my friends. It was a moment. It was definitely one for the books. One of my best birthday experiences.

Diddy: How would you describe somebody who has not been off the grid. How would you describe it, what does off the grid mean?

Yung Miami: “Off the grid,” it just got to be you and your partner. You all just have to take the time to yourself. No phones. Make it sexy. Make it real sexy. Make sure you have your playlist and just you know. Make some babies.

Diddy: That sounds boring. I thought we was getting to the slope.

Yung Miami: Oh you want the real off the grid… I’m not technical. [laughter]

Yung Miami: What is your favorite thing to do off the grid? Since we are talking about off-the-grid. He’s gotta look me in the eyes he know that.

Diddy: Just locked into your body when I feel like I’m all up in your chest and your soul.

Yung Miami: So what was your favorite off-the-grid moment with me?

Diddy: The yacht.

Yung Miami: Which yacht?

Diddy: When we went to the Bahamas. We went – it was 48 hours straight. You did not Buenos Noches that night. You made a papi proud. You know how to be on one. You don’t want to be conservative.

Yung Miami: You’ve got to just let loose. Anything goes.

Diddy: We had a ball. It’s great to get off the grid and have a time. When you connect, when you laugh, all types of things, dancing, vibing… It is definitely a lot of lovemaking. I think some albums need to be made for that. I purposely made this album as this is the R&B album to f**k to. And I may sound a little harsh to people, but this is from a single perspective.

Yung Miami: So how many rounds you be going?

Diddy: You know

Yung Miami: I know but the people don’t. Baby let me tell you all something this n***a don’t go to sleep. You gotta be energized, you gotta be charged up like a Tesla.

Diddy: When you go off the grid it means you’ve got to go to sleep for a week.

Yung Miami: It’s definitely giving no sleep.

Diddy and French Montana Talk To Apple Music About How Diddy’s New Song “Another One Of Me (with French Montana feat. The Weeknd and 21 Savage) Came Together…

Nadeska Alexis: One of the songs we played is “Another One Of Me.” French is on that. 21 Savage, The Weeknd. But Puff was telling us he went digging in the hard drive. You found a Weeknd feature from eight years ago.

French Montana: Let me tell you something. This guy has got 1,000 and something songs on that hard drive and I always go through that hard drive. I always look for it and hoping and praying to god that I find like a big feature somewhere. And this Weeknd record didn’t have no drums on it.

It didn’t have nothing. The way it was made. It was just all the way straight through. So I took it. We added drums on it. I did a verse on there. And I said it needs some down south spice on it too so we can make it like an R&B worldwide vibe. With all of the flavor. So we sent 21 Savage and 21 Savage sent it back to me and I played it for Puff. I’m like yo you gave me this record. He heard it and he was like oh nah this is going on my album.

Diddy: He was like ‘First of all I am not getting left off the album.’ Then he said I am not getting left off the song either. We put it together. It was brotherly love that stuff. Me and Weeknd didn’t know what we were going to do with it. French was like we were all just on our unity vibe that we stay on. We want to be able to do some festivals together and be able to just be together and have some fun while you’re traveling. That’s really why we started to making the record.

Diddy Tells Apple Music About How Growing Up Poor In Harlem Inspired Him To Become Successful….

I tell this story. People think it’s a joke. I grew up in Harlem. My aunt would babysit me and I would get babysat in Patterson projects. One day we woke up and there was so many roaches on my face and I was like no I’m not going to do that. I’m going to get out of here. I’m going to be somebody. I’m going to own something and be able to take care of my family. I don’t want to live in these conditions no more.

It was something that just kind of snaps on you do not take less in life and fight back. Those roaches still to this day whenever I get comfortable, I just remember them. I remember living in a situation where babies weren’t changed for 2 or three days and everything smell and there was no food you know what I’m saying? That memory if that is the thing that really fuels me to make sure that one day none of us have to live like that.
