DC Homeowner Fatally Shoots Teen Accused of Breaking Into Vehicles | Video

*A 13-year-old was shot dead by a Northeast D.C. homeowner who claimed the boy was breaking into vehicles in the neighborhood early Saturday morning. 

The shooting happened in the 1000 block of Quincy Street, according to the Metropolitan Police Department, FOX 5 reports. The unidentified homeowner shot the teenager multiple times after confronting him for allegedly breaking into several vehicles along the street. 

Officers called to the scene reportedly found the homeowner performing CPR on the boy, identified as Karon Blake. He was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead.

Blake, a student at Brookland Middle School, was reportedly unarmed during the shooting. The homeowner, who is not yet facing any criminal charges, allegedly used a firearm that was legally registered.

Investigators working on the shooting incident reportedly found a stolen car on Quincy Street that the teen victim is believed to have used. 

Two other juveniles were reportedly involved in the incident as they were seen fleeing the scene on foot after the shooting, according to the FOX 5 report.
