*Charlamagne Tha God claims he and Birdman squashed their beef with a lengthy phone call after their controversial 2016 interview on The Breakfast Club.
Speaking to HipHopDX on the red carpet of the BET Hip Hop Awards, Charlamagne called the hip-hop mogul “an OG” whom the greatly admires.
“He’s an OG that I look up to as far as what he’s built, as far as being a mogul,” Charlamagne said. “You can’t deny him.”
He also credited Big Bank of the Big Facts podcast for putting him and the Cash Money CEO in touch.
“[Big Bank] put us on the phone one time and I was able to tell him that [I look up to what he’s done]. It was just mutual respect. That was a fulfilling conversation for me,” Charlamagne explained.

As we reported previously, Birdman was rolling about 10 deep with “associates” when he pulled up to The Breakfast Club” studio in 2016 and stayed long enough to cuss out the crew.
Birdman dropped a bunch of threats during their conversation before storming out.
“Stop playing with my f**king name!” he defiantly told Charlamagne tha God. He also said he was gonna handle their beef in the streets, but decided to do it face-to-face instead.
The backstory: Birdman was pissed Charlamagne, former co-host Angela Yee and DJ Envy and their guests dog him about not paying his artists … namely Lil Wayne.
