*Candiace Dillard says her husband Chris Bassett was “not well” after one of her “Real Housewives of Potomac” co-stars made him the subject of “hurtful” gossip during Season 7.
As Page Six reports, RHOP star Gizelle Bryant suggested that Bassett made her uncomfortable with his alleged predatory conduct during a reunion taping.
“He was not well. As Dorinda [Medley] would say, ‘Not well, bitch,’” Dillard said during a recent episode of Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast.
“He was not well for quite a while. It was a mind eff for him to have this picture painted of him because that’s what Gizelle [Bryant] did.”

As Page Six reports, Bryant accused Bassett of making her feel “completely uncomfortable” during a one-on-one discussion backstage at the “RHOP” Season 6 reunion.
“She painted a picture of him that didn’t belong to him. She created a narrative that was completely false and damaging and hurtful,” Dillard said.
“We were blown away at the number of messages and comments of people that were calling BS and saying that they didn’t believe it,” she continued. “But there’s always that 0.5 percent that says, ‘Oh, he did it,’ or whatever they say.”
Dillard claims Bassett is doing “better now.”
“There are headlines that will live on the internet that insinuate that my husband is a predator, and you can’t undo that. And that’s why it’s so damaging for people to be able to make things up,” she said. “It’s hurtful, and he was very hurt by it.”
During the reunion show taping, Dillard reportedly had it out with a producer named Eric.
“If it’s going to be about maligning my f–king husband, you don’t want me here,” Dillard said. “Michael Darby is available for that, the ass-grabbing motherf–ker who likes to actually make people feel uncomfortable. He’s available for that, not my husband.”
