*Big Freedia is back on Fuse … and she means business.

The new series “Big Freedia Means Business” finds the Queen Diva shaking up the business world with ventures in a hotel, a record label, eyewear, purses and a cannabis line.

Per the press release, the New Orleans native “explores all of the music and entrepreneurial opportunities that have opened up to her since she was last seen in the hit docuseries “Big Freedia Bounces Back,” which remains the highest rated show in Fuse history. This year, a whole new world of fans discovered Big Freedia when she was featured on Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” off of her latest album “Renaissance,” which peaked at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.”

“The number one question we get at Fuse is, when are we bringing back Big Freedia. A beloved icon who embodies Fuse’s message of empowerment as a creative self-expressor, entrepreneur and change leader, Freedia’s most recent series is still the most watched show on Fuse and Fuse+,” Marc Leonard, Senior VP, Head of Content and Marketing, said previously in a statement. “We are beyond excited to announce that Big Freedia is coming home to where she belongs at a moment when she is ready to scale new heights of success. We can’t wait to share those new triumphs with her legions of devoted fans.”

Per the series synopsis: “Big Freedia Means Business” follows New Orleans choirboy-turned-bounce rapper Freddie “Big Freedia” Ross, Jr., as she juggles new business ventures, touring, and the ups and downs of her personal relationships. This season Freedia begins work on opening a hotel; starts a cannabis line; prepares to launch her own beauty and fragrance lines; and more. The new series will also chronicle the launch of a new album, set to drop next year.

We caught up with Big Freedia to dish on her new series and what fans can expect! Check out our Q&A below.

What are you most excited about fans experiencing with your new Fuse series?

BF: The first seasons were about coming up from the bottom. Now, my fans get to see how I’ve grown my brand into all kinds of side businesses. I love being an entrepreneur— I’ve been one since I was 10 years old when I was organizing food drives for hungry kids at church. I’m so grateful that I can now use my money to grow other streams of revenue.

What can you tease fans with what to expect? Will they see a side of Freedia like never before?

BF: Oh yes, they will see me in my hustle mode, and get to see how my hard work, schedule, and how my team assists me in getting to the place I’m at. I run a business here, and fans will see that first hand.

Talk about some of the obstacles and challenges you face on the show as you shake up the business world.

BF: Well, as an LGBTQ+ artist and an artist who is hard to put into a box, sometimes people underestimate me. Don’t underestimate the QUEEN!

What do you hope viewers take away from Big Freedia Means Business?

BF: I hope they take away inspiration for their own lives, that you can be who you want to be and create your own life path. If they can get some laughs and joy out of it too, as a relief from the crazy times we are living in, that’s what entertainment is.

When you reflect on your career so far, when was your “MAMA, I MADE IT!” moment?

BF: My collab with Beyonce on Break My Soul + Grammy win! I know my mama is looking down on me and smiling!

How exciting is it to be officially endorsed by Queen Bey? Did you have an out-of-body experience when you first met her?

BF: I met her a couple years ago for the first time and yes, I was like pinch me now!

Lastly, what’s on your bucket list?

BF: Performing in Africa!

“Big Freedia Means Business” premiered Wednesday, June 7 on Fuse and Fuse+. New episodes drop weekly on Wednesday until the finale on July 26.
