*“BMF” is the STARZ original crime drama that follows the rise and fall of two brothers from Southwest Detroit in the late 80s, who take an unconventional road to success while forming the infamous Black Mafia Family.

Executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, “BMF” returns for a second season and “dramatizes the inspiring true story of two brothers Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory (Demetrius Flenory, Jr.) and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory (Da’Vinchi), who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late ’80s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country, Black Mafia Family,” per the official synopsis.

The Season 2 premiere took place at the TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The black carpet featured the series stars, including Flenory Jr., Myles Truitt,  Steve Harris, Michole White, and a few new faces making appearances this season, including La La Anthony, Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee, Kelly Hu, and Christine Horn.

During the premiere, Jackson announced several new projects coming from the “BMF” world to STARZ.

“They got some really, really smart executives coming in to help rebuild STARZ in the right way. And it’s exciting for me,” he said before screening the first episode for guests. “You’ll get a chance to see three spinoff shows from ‘BMF.’ It’s ‘BMF’ immortal.”

EURweb correspondent Jill Munroe spoke exclusively with 50 at the LA premiere screening about how he makes sure his television shows are hits.

“I think with my productions, the special part is when you have diversity in them,” he said. “So, for example, we hit the bull’s eye with “Power” the first time, and I kept it in that vein. And a lot of times, I’ve asked for data or projects that were organized differently so I could see how well they were doing and how many new subscribers were coming into the network based on it. We drive the most to the network the way it is, so it makes better sense to continue down the path we’re on than to try something different.”

As season two of “BMF” unfolds, the streets implode and Big Meech and Southwest T risk losing everything. Determined to beat the odds and achieve their American Dream, they strategically execute a new vision. But little do they know that their new beginnings will also be plagued with new obstacles.

Season two features ten episodes which drop weekly on Fridays on the STARZ app.
