*The trial for Megan Thee Stallion’s shooting case with Tory Lanez is underway in a Los Angeles court, and a former bodyguard for the “WAP” rapper was set to testify but has allegedly gone missing.

Meg testified last week that her former lover Lanez shot her in July 2020 after an argument.

“This situation has only been worse for me and it has only made him more famous,” Megan said in court as reported by The Shade Room. “I wish he would have just shot and killed me if I knew I would have to go through this torture.”

Megan reportedly told investigators that Tory fired at her feet and said “dance, bitch,” according to Los Angeles Police Department Det. Ryan Stogner when he testified in a preliminary trial last year.

According to the detective, Megan said her feet were “bleeding profusely” and that Lanez had “emphatically apologized for what he did”. She allegedly told police that he offered her hush money.

Lanez is charged with one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, along with inflicting great bodily injury, per the FOX LA reports. Prosecutors have added a felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He faces more than 20 years in prison if convicted.

There are two key witnesses in the case, Kelsey Harris—Megan’s former close friend, and Justin Edison, Megan’s former bodyguard. Harris already testified and Edison was expected to testify but is reportedly missing in action.

Meg’s attorney, Alex Spiro, told The Shade Room: “We recently learned that Justin Edison went missing right before he was scheduled to appear in court.”

Megan said she was initially hesitant to speak publicly about being “the victim of an act of violence by a man” due to safety concerns or herself and her friends.

“Even as a victim, I have been met with skepticism and judgment,” she wrote in an op-ed published earlier this year in The New York Times. “The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted.”

Lanez has repeatedly denied all of Megan’s accusations about what happened on the night of the shooting.
