*Tory Lanez faces a new felony charge in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case.
Prosecutors have added another charge against the rapper, the District Attorney’s Office confirmed Tuesday, FOX LA reports. Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) is accused of shooting Megan during an argument following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in the Hollywood Hills in June 2020.
Megan reportedly told investigators that Tory fired at her feet and said “dance, bitch,” according to Los Angeles Police Department Det. Ryan Stogner when he testified in a preliminary trial last year.
According to the detective, Megan said her feet were “bleeding profusely” and that Lanez had “emphatically apologized for what he did”. She allegedly told police that he offered her hush money.

Lanez is charged with one count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, along with inflicting great bodily injury, per the FOX LA reports. Prosecutors have added a felony count of discharging a firearm with gross negligence. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed the amended complaint on Monday.
Megan said she was initially hesitant to speak publicly about being “the victim of an act of violence by a man” due to safety concerns or herself and her friends.
“Even as a victim, I have been met with skepticism and judgment,” she wrote in an op-ed published in The New York Times. “The way people have publicly questioned and debated whether I played a role in my own violent assault proves that my fears about discussing what happened were, unfortunately, warranted.”
Lanez has repeatedly denied all of Megan’s accusations about what happened on the night of the shooting. He remains out of custody on $350,000 bail.
Megan said in a video posted on Instagram Live following the shooting, “Tory shot me. You shot me and you got your publicist and your people are lying … Stop lying.”
