Grammy®-Nominated Cimafunk Invites You to Get Funky at Grand Park’s NYELA

(Los Angeles, CA) How time flies. I can remember ushering in 2022 as if it just happened recently.

The time has come again when one has the have the face to face, inevitable conversation with your spouse, significant other, family and friends…What are you doing New Year’s Eve?

You can enjoy Grand Park’s Historic 10th Anniversary with West Coast’s largest free New Year’s Eve Dance and Music Party, featuring a superb line-up of live entertainment on two stages, plus signature 3D midnight countdown lightshow projected onto L.A.’s City Hall.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, the highly anticipated announcement was made that the in-person return of Grand Park’s NYELA after a two-year absence. That can only mean one thing for revelers, time to dust off those dancing shoes.

Powered by The Music Center’s Grand Park Team, the west coast’s largest free New Year’s Eve event will also continue Grand Park’s historic 10th anniversary celebration when the park’s signature 3D countdown lightshow projected onto L.A.’s iconic City Hall leads revelers into 2023.

Gates to the New Year’s Eve Dance and Music Party opens at 8:00pm., the ultimate celebration will encompass the six city blocks that comprise Grand Park. Global Bass DJ Gingee will throw down the initial set of grooves for the nearly five-hour celebration at the Get Down Stage, located in the park’s Block 2 between Grand Avenue and Olive Court, with host DJ Banga Brownin. The grooves keep flowing with Bhangra/Afrobeat DJ MTooray, Cumbia Latin DJ Collective, Cumbiatón, and world-renowned Marques Wyatt spinning a high-octane set of Deep House Beats.

Grand Park’s Countdown Stage will be LIT! DJ Raul Campos will host. The Countdown Stage is located in the park’s Block 4 between Hill and Spring Streets. You don’t want to miss the eclectic line-up of musicians performing on the Countdown Stage, features Cumbia Latin Alternative musician San Cha, Electronic Jazz Musicians Mark de Clive-Lowe & Friends, versatile dance troupe Versa-Style Dance Company. Get ready for a dazzling display of Afro-Cuban dance and rhythms provided by Kati Hernandez & Kimbambula Cuban Dance & Music Ensemble. Grammy ®- Nominated Cuban Funk artist Cimafunk will fulfill the wishes of revelers, who might sing “We want the funk, Gotta Have that Funk” as he walks on stage.

“I love Cali and I can’t wait to celebrate 2022 and welcome 2023 with the great people of Los Angeles,” said Cimafunk. “It’s going to get really funky at midnight, so put on your dancing shoes and get ready to feel the GROOVE.”

The celebration will culminate with Grand Park’s signature midnight countdown featuring a stunning 3d visual spectacle projected on L.A.’s iconic City Hall.
