*Coolio passed away earlier this year at age 59 and he reportedly died without a will in place.
As The Blast reports, a former manager of the late rapper has filed a probate to begin the process of appraising the estate. Coolio’s 7 adult children are likely the primary beneficiaries as they are listed as next of kin.
According to the petition, the value of the estate has yet to be determined but it includes “personal property and demand deposit accounts, financial accounts, insurance policies and royalties,” believed to be over $300,000.
Coolio (born Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) allegedly suffered from severe asthma for many years and his friends think this may have contributed to his death in September.

Sources told TMZ that Coolio “struggled” with the lung condition and according to the American Heart Association, persistent asthma may increase the risk of heart rhythm disorders.
Per TMZ, “We’re told Coolio would always travel with several inhalers to keep his condition in check — even using them on stage during some of his performances,” the outlet writes.
Coolio was found unconscious on the bathroom floor of a friend’s house in Los Angeles on Sept. 28. He is suspected to have gone into cardiac arrest. Paramedics reportedly pronounced him dead at the scene.
“We are saddened by the loss of our dear friend and client, Coolio, who passed away this afternoon,” Sheila Finegan, Coolio’s talent manager, told CNN. “He touched the world with the gift of his talent and will be missed profoundly. Thank you to everyone worldwide who has listened to his music and to everyone who has been reaching out regarding his passing. Please have Coolio’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”
Coolio was cremated in a private ceremony with no funeral service.
