*Civil rights activist Dr. Harry Edwards believes that Colin Kaepernick not only deserves another opportunity in the NFL, he should also be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, “given what he has incited not only in this country, but around the world in terms of social justice and so forth.”

Edwards said the comments on ESPN’s “First Take” Monday, where he appeared virtually to discuss NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell’s statement on the peaceful protests, what should happen with Kaepernick and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ silence on social injustice.

Edwards said that while accepting an honorary doctorate in Switzerland in the coming weeks, he will use his time there to make the case for Kaepernick to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in the country where it is bestowed.
