Mike Tyson Explains Why He Hurled Water at Don King at NYC Event [Watch]

*Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and promoter Don King were once thick as thieves. Over the years, however, the relationship fizzled, and Tyson even sued King for $100 million.

Well, the beef between the two men is still alive and well.

During the Boxing Hall of Fame induction over the weekend in Canastota, New York, King approached Tyson and gave him a playful tap on the shoulder, but “Iron Mike” wasn’t feeling the love so he tossed a bit of water on King.

When TMZ caught up with Mike afterward, he admitted that he regretted the act.

“That was me being immature, I shouldn’t have done that,” Tyson said.

“But, you know, he touched me, he tapped me on my shoulder … it’s just, I don’t know. He talked in there like he was my friend and that was just bullcrap.”

Although King was by Mike’s side during his reign, their relationship went left when money became an issue.

Over the years, Mike has had his share of financial problems. In 2003, he filed bankruptcy and revealed that he had earned more than $300 million during his boxing career but ultimately faced $23 million worth of debt.
