*Whoopi Goldberg proposed that Super Bowl attendees wear brown face and adopt a Latin accent to provoke Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
As TooFab reports, during an episode of “The View,” the actress made the suggestion while discussing Noem’s claim that ICE agents would be “all over” the 2026 Super Bowl and her criticism of the NFL for selecting Latin artist Bad Bunny as the halftime performer.
“How’s she going to know who’s who?” Goldberg asked, prompting co-host Joy Behar to reply, “Because the Supreme Court has given permission to question anyone who has a Spanish accent or who has dark skin. That’s why.”

Goldberg continued her tongue-in-cheek advice by saying, “Everybody, get a little cocoa butter, sit in the sun, that’s the first thing. And this is the only time you can probably ever do this: Give yourself a Latin accent, and just see if [Noem] can tell who’s who.”
Noem’s initial remarks came during an interview on “The Benny Show,” where she said ICE would be active at the major sporting event. “I have the responsibility for making sure everybody goes to the Super Bowl, has the opportunity to enjoy it and to leave, and that’s what America’s about,” Noem stated. “So yeah, we’ll be all over that place. We’re going to enforce the law.”
When asked about the NFL’s decision to feature Bad Bunny as the halftime act, Noem responded, “Well, they suck and we’ll win, and God will bless us and we’ll stand and be proud of ourselves at the end of the day, and they won’t be able to sleep at night because they don’t know what they believe. And they’re so weak, we’ll fix it.”
Bad Bunny addressed the political backlash during his recent appearace on “Saturday Night Live.” During his opening monologue, he told the audience, “I’m very excited to be doing the Super Bowl, and I know that people all around the world who love my music are also happy.” He ended with a lighthearted challenge: “And if you didn’t understand what I just said, you have four months to learn.”
