*Lizzo and Sexyy Red have released “Hoes,” the official original song from the upcoming “Scary Movie” film, with the single and music video both available now. Watch the visuals above.
The track arrives as anticipation builds for the franchise’s long-awaited return, which brings back the original Core Four for the first time in decades. Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Anna Faris, and Regina Hall all reprise their roles, picking up 26 years after their last encounter with a masked killer bearing a striking resemblance to Ghostface. This time around, no horror subgenre escapes the crosshairs.
The film takes aim at reboots, remakes, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, origin stories, elevated horror, and every so-called “final chapter” that turns out to be anything but. As the synopsis puts it, “Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed.”

The Wayans are also setting their sights beyond horror, using the film to take a swing at cancel culture. The project is directed by Michael Tiddes and written by Marlon, Shawn, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Craig Wayans, and Rick Alvarez, who also serves as a producer alongside the Wayans brothers. Executive producers include Jonathan Glickman, Thom Zadra, Alexandra Loewy, Marc Weinstock, Marsha L. Swinton, and Neal H. Moritz.
Joining the returning cast is a deep bench of comedy talent, including Kenan Thompson, Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Cheri Oteri, Chris Elliott, Heidi Gardner, and several others.
The original “Scary Movie” debuted in 2000 under the direction of Keenen Ivory Wayans, lampooning slasher classics including “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” It became the highest-grossing entry in the franchise, pulling in $278 million worldwide against a $19 million budget, and launched five sequels that cemented the series as a comedy institution. Paramount Pictures has released the first trailer for the new film. Check it out below.
“Scary Movie 6” arrives in theaters on June 5.
