*Keke Palmer is under fire following news that Jonathan Majors will appear on her podcast, Baby, This Is Keke Palmer.
As Hot97 reports, critics were quick to condemn the move, citing Majors’ 2023 conviction for misdemeanor assault and harassment stemming from a 2022 incident with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Many found it jarring that Palmer, an advocate for survivors of domestic violence based on her own experiences, would give Majors a platform. Some even dredged up her past defense of R. Kelly, intensifying the outrage.
Detractors questioned Palmer’s judgment, with one user asking, “Why does she keep aligning with problematic men?” Another X user noted, “Jonathan Majors has only ever dated white women publicly (prior to Megan Good) yet has spent his entire redemption tour on Black women’s platforms.”
Supporters argued that Palmer’s choice to host Majors shouldn’t ruffle feathers—those uninterested could simply skip the episode.
Palmer’s defenders highlighted her podcast’s focus on redemption and growth, suggesting Majors’ appearance could fit that narrative.

Meanwhile, Majors is currently dealing with the fallout from his legal troubles, which led to his removal from his role as Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following his dismissal, he wrote a personal letter to Marvel President Kevin Feige. Although he didn’t reveal the contents, Majors told Variety it was a message of gratitude rather than a plea for reinstatement.
“I just appreciate him. I just love him. I loved my time at Marvel, and I still love Kang. I’m watching them. I see what they’re doing and I’m pulling for them,” he shared.

Majors acknowledged the reality of his situation, understanding that Marvel, as a publicly traded company, had to make a business decision regarding his role.
“It’s not in my control. I see it clearly. I understand – it’s a publicly traded company. You’re trying to do this; you can’t have this [controversy] around. That’s what happens when this happens. I don’t hold it against them. I want to make that very clear. I’m not upset with anybody about that. I’m not upset at all,” he stated.
