*An embarrassing boxing ring mishap has unexpectedly opened new doors for heavyweight fighter Jarrell Miller, whose social media inbox is now overflowing with business propositions from companies eager to partner with him.
During his match against Kingsley Ibeh at Madison Square Garden, Miller experienced every fighter’s nightmare when a second-round punch dislodged his hairpiece in front of thousands of spectators. The bout took place on the undercard for Shakur Stevenson vs. Teofimo Lopez, but Miller’s wardrobe malfunction quickly became the evening’s most talked-about moment online.
Miller revealed to TMZ Sports that interest from potential business partners has been overwhelming.
“There’s a lot of hair companies from Turkey reached out,” he said. “A couple of man-weaving companies reached out. So like my DMs are crazy, man. I haven’t even gone through even a quarter of them yet.”

During his appearance on The Breakfast Club, Miller provided additional details about the incident, including the financial investment behind the hairpiece. He recounted the precise moment he realized his pricey toupee was no longer on his head.
“Man, $700 last minute. I didn’t realize it came off, but I felt a draft. I’m sitting down in my corner, my coach is giving me instructions, but he stuttered twice,” Miller explained.
The unusual behavior from his corner clued him into the situation unfolding. “And he never stutters. I look at the Jumbo Tron for the replay. I said, ‘Oh s—, they got me. We cooked. We fried.'”
Miller ultimately won via split decision against Ibeh, though the victory was somewhat eclipsed by the hairpiece incident that captivated social media. Rather than shy away from the embarrassment, Miller is using the situation as a teaching moment for his children.
“Sometimes some of us men give up in life and cut our lives short,” Miller said. “But I pray to God and ask God to give me confidence, strength and courage to keep pushing forward. I got two young boys — a 15-year-old, a four-year-old and I got a one-year-old daughter — so I gotta be here for them and show them listen, Daddy made some mistakes, but I ain’t no quitter.”
