*There’s a new ice cream flavor making waves, and it’s not what anyone expected. Breast milk… inspired ice cream is now available for purchase in the United States, The Economic Times reports.
Parenting brand Frida has joined forces with New York-based ice cream maker OddFellows to introduce the unconventional flavor. The limited-edition offering celebrates the launch of Frida’s new 2-in-1 Manual Breast Pump.
From August 5 through 10, visitors to OddFellows’ Dumbo, Brooklyn location can sample the unique flavor. Free scoops are being handed out between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, and Sunday, August 10. Pints can also be purchased for $12.99 each on Frida’s website, though online buyers must order a minimum of two.
Despite its bold name, the product does not contain human breast milk. Frida clarified that the ingredients include milk, heavy cream, sugar, dextrose, egg yolks, honey syrup, liposomal bovine colostrum, food coloring, and a few other common ice cream additives.
According to Frida, the flavor is “sweet, a little salty, smooth, with hints of honey and sprinkles of colostrum,” and features “a distinct colostrum yellow tinge.” The company described it as “a pitch-perfect representation of the sweet, creamy, nutrient-packed goodness we’ve all wanted to try but have been afraid to ask.”

The launch, which has sparked curiosity and confusion on social media, arrives during National Breastfeeding Awareness Month. The flavor taps into a broader public fascination with breast milk, with celebrities such as Ashley Graham and Kourtney Kardashian previously admitting to trying their own.
The campaign reflects growing interest in human biology, health trends, and creative product marketing. As one promotional post from Frida states, “Taste it for yourself.”.
