*Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is confronting a series of challenges behind bars, from reportedly harsh conditions at FCI Fort Dix to a newly launched West Coast investigation that could further extend his prison time.
According to a former inmate who spent 17 months at Fort Dix, the facility’s conditions are “horrible,” Page Six reports. “There’s one bathroom per floor with toilets and showers, and everything is broken. A lot of the food is expired. It’s horrible. They don’t care,” the source told US Weekly. “I was there a day and a half, and I [told a] kid [I just met], ‘This isn’t a jail, this is an insane asylum!’ and he agreed. It was a zoo.”
Combs, 56, was convicted on two counts of transportation for prostitution last month and sentenced to 50 months in prison. He was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to Fort Dix and is currently scheduled for release in 2028.
His prison experience has already included dangerous incidents. Charlucci Finney, a longtime friend, told the Daily Mail that Diddy “woke up with a knife to his throat,” emphasizing the risks faced by those convicted of sex-related crimes in prison.
Adding to his legal challenges, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has opened a probe into alleged sexual battery by Combs in 2020 against a music producer.
A spokesperson confirmed that the Special Victims Bureau is investigating. Combs’ attorney Jonathan Davis issued a statement saying, “Mr. Combs categorically denies as false and defamatory all claims that he sexually abused anyone. He looks forward to vindicating himself in court, where such matters are decided-and not in the media-based on admissible, material evidence, not rank speculation and unsubstantiated allegations.”
If charges are filed and Combs is convicted in California, he could face additional state prison time following his East Coast release.
Originally, the disgraced music mogul was scheduled for release on May 8, 2028, but with the Bureau of Prisons extending his time at Fort Dix, he is now set to be released in June 2028.
