*Claudia Jordan may ‘have peace’ now, but that doesn’t prevent her from reminiscing over the cancellation of her web gossip show “Tea-G-I-F.”
Speaking with her friend Carlos King, the 51-year-old media personality tried to hold back the tears when her former co-host Al Reynolds was brought in to the conversation, Sandra Rose reports. Reynolds is noted for his “betrayal” of Jordan, which resulted in the end of “Tea-G-I-F,” which aired on Fox Soul before its cancellation this week after weeks of being on hiatus.
The series’ termination stemmed from policy violations and personality conflicts behind the scenes between comedienne Luenell, Jordan, Reynolds and Armon Wiggins. Adding fuel to the situation were alleged rumblings of Fox Soul general manager and head of programming D’Artagnan Bebel growing tired of Reynolds coming to him about whatever Jordan allegedly stated.
“I think he hates me,” Jordan told King, in reference to Reynolds. Despite the cancellation, Jordan isn’t pouring the tea, as she “still have some hope to save my baby,” meaning “Tea-G-I-F.“
Still the damage has been done, according to well-placed sources who stated the “Tea-G-I-F” ship has sailed. Bebel initially placed the show on suspension with hopes things would be settled between the warring co-hosts. Ultimately, reality set in as the exec seemed to have had enough and was done.
As it stands now, Reynolds has moved on and is focused on bringing viewers over to his YouTube show. For Jordan, things are in a peaceful state, post “Tea-G-I-F.”
“You know, I have peace, I have great friends. I have a beautiful house, I’m remodeling. I am getting joy out of seeing the upgrades in my house and just being really hands on,” she responded, when King asked how she is doing. “My pets are healthy, my skin is clear, my teeth are white, my titties are high. Um, I don’t have pores…”
With peace apparently comes celibacy for Jordan, who surprised King, mentioning she’s been celibate for almost 8 months.
“I haven’t even kissed anyone. Nothing, nothing,” confirmed Jordan.
As the conversation continued, Jordan addressed talk about her selling out her “Cocktails with Queens” co-hosts LisaRaye McCoy, Vivica A. Fox and Syleena Johnson prior to the show being cancelled in 2023 after four seasons on the air.
“Queens” was canceled to free up the budget for “Tea-G-I-F” to move to 5 nights a week.
“A lot of people blamed me and thought I sold out Cocktails with Queens so I could be over here on ‘Tea’,” Jordan voiced. “I was absolutely heartbroken when the network decided to cancel Cocktails with Queens. It was only a financial issue. It was nothing more than that.”
