*TLC is adding a fresh and emotionally charged series to its beloved “1000-LB” franchise. The network has announced “1000-LB Roomies,” a bold new docuseries that chronicles the deeply personal and often hilarious journey of two best friends navigating weight loss, health crises, and the power of friendship.
Due to the overwhelming online response and record-breaking trailer views, TLC has moved up the premiere date by one week. The new series premieres Tuesday, June 3 at 10 pm ET/PT on TLC.
At the center of “1000-LB Roomies” are Jazmine (aka “Jaz”) and Nesha, two larger-than-life personalities who first connected online and quickly became real-life roommates and soul sisters. Known for their humor and deep bond, the duo have long leaned on one another for support in every area of life. But when Jaz receives a sobering medical warning that her health is in critical danger, both women are forced to confront their lifestyle head-on.
Jaz, motivated by her desire to be present for her young daughter, commits to shedding nearly 200 pounds. Meanwhile, Nesha is more hesitant about surgery and skeptical of drastic change. As they face mounting pressure, differing goals, and emotional setbacks, the friends are forced to redefine their dynamic and push each other in ways they never have before.
