*Sade is preparing to release her first new song since her 2010 album, “Soldier of Love.”
According to Variety, Sade’s new song, “Young Lion,” will be featured on the “Transa” benefit album, which is set to release on November 22. The compilation, created by the non-profit Red Hot, aims to raise awareness for transgender issues and highlights both trans and non-binary artists.
“Young Lion” is dedicated to Sade’s son Izaak, a transgender man.
“We started talking about all the gifts that trans artists have been giving to the world, and wanted to create a Red Hot project that centered and celebrated those gifts,” said Dust Reid, who put together “Transa” alongside artist Massima Bell.
“We hoped to create a narrative that positions trans and non-binary people as leaders in our society insofar as the deep inner work they do to affirm who they are in our current climate,” Dust Reid continued. “We felt this is something everybody should do. Whether you identify as trans or non-binary or otherwise, if you took the time to explore your gender, get in touch with the feeling side of yourself, maybe we would have a future oriented around values of community, collaboration, care, and healing.”

“Transa” has over 100 contributing artists and exclusive tracks from Sam Smith and André 3000 and longtime Prince collaborators Wendy & Lisa teamed with Lauren Auder on a cover of “I Would Die 4 U.”
Meanwhile, we reported in 2019 that Izaak Theo Adu turned to social media to document his transition from female to male, thanking his famous mother for her unwavering support throughout the journey.
“It’s been a long hard road but We did it!! We are coming home!!!!” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma. Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens.”
Izaak first went public with his journey in 2016, when he started taking hormonal shots, saying it was “the first day of the rest of my life.”
