*A Pennsylvania is facing murder charges after killing his neighbor who complained about his loud snoring.
Christopher James Casey, 55, was arrested Thursday after fatally stabbing 62-year-old Robert Wallace on Jan. 14. The tragedy unfolded following an argument about Casey snoring too loud, Complex reports.
Police noted in an affidavit that Wallace attempted to diffuse the heated moment by offering to help pay for Casey’s nasal surgery to correct his snoring.
“Casey said he did not believe Wallace’s intention of ‘try to work this out’ and ‘shake hands’ and try ‘to fix this situation’ was genuine,” police wrote in the affidavit, per Complex. “As a result, Casey decided to ‘surprise him’ by stabbing Wallace with a knife.”
On the day of the stabbing, Wallace confronted Casey at his home, and Casey attacked with a large, military-style knife. He reportedly stabbed the victim in the chest multiple times.

Wallace collapsed near his home and was transported to Abington Hospital, where he later died.
Casey suffered a self-inflicted stab wound to his right thigh and was treated at the same hospital.
Police confirmed that they are familiar with the two men due to “ongoing arguments, including arguments about the defendant’s loud snoring, which the victim could hear through the shared wall of the two residences.”
Casey is charged with third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and possessing instruments of a crime.
He remains in jail with a $1 million bail set.
Casey is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 29.
