*Melania Trump and President-elect Donald Trump may resume duties as the first couple in the coming weeks, but the pair look to be as united as the current state of the US itself.
According to RadarOnline, the edge belongs to Melania, who worked her husband’s election victory to her advantage by negotiating updated terms for their marriage. The back and forth, which took place as The Donald navigated choppy legal waters with multiple cases against him, comes as the pair come back to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for Donald’s historic second presidential term.
Through it all, the former reality show fixture was “quietly negotiating a new ‘postnup’ agreement” with his wife, a former supermodel.
“This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her marital agreement,” Page Six also mentioned.
His agenda may be laid out and controversial cabinet picks are in line to build a new administration, but the bottom line is Donald is personally in payback mode for Melania doing her part to help her spouse emerge from the election with the victory.
“Melania knew she had Donald over a barrel going into the 2024 campaign,” an insider shared with Radar Online. “She knew he needed her support and she made the most of the moment.”
The negotiations were a calculated move from Melania. The former supermodel opted for a reduced presence during the 2024 campaign, coming out for a surprise appearance to support Trump at his rally in New York City, just days before he defeated Vice President Kamala Harris to win the election. On Election Day, Melania and their son Barron were seen by Donald’s side.
As President Trump prepares for his second term, the arrangements Melania requested might echo terms she reached with Donald following his 2016 presidential election victory.
One that promoted separate living instead of a closer setup.
“It was no secret that Donald stayed in the White House master suite and Melania occupied a two-room suite on the third floor during their first round there,” the source added. “They’ll now basically go back to something along those very same lines — if not in the very same rooms.”
The living arrangements may seem strange for a couple approaching 20 years of marriage in January, but the accomplishment seems to be a moot point with Melania’s true feelings about her husband becoming public knowledge.
“To put it succinctly, Melania finds Donald revolting,” the insider confessed.
Whether or not the talk about the Trumps and their marital union is true is a mystery. A representative for President Trump denied the alleged relationship deal. Radar noted that Melania’s time will be spent traveling between New York City and Palm Beach, Florida, while Barron starts life as a freshman at NYU and living in the Big Apple.
Going more into Melania’s reasons for staying put in Florida during President Trump’s second term, CNN sources cite the influence of her close friend group in the state Expectations don’t call for Melania to move back into the White House full-time with Donald. Instead, she will probably travel often to attend presidential engagements.
Despite not having Melania around as much, Trump did get a bit of good news recently as his hush-money case was denied indefinitely by a judge.
