*Marvel Studios released a new trailer for the highly anticipated “DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE,” starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.
The superhero actioner, directed by Shawn Levy, features Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen.
Reynolds co-wrote the script and also serves as producer along with Levy, MCU boss Kevin Feige. The synopsis states: “In Marvel Studios ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, Wade Wilson is confronted by the TVA, which pulls him from a seemingly quiet life and results in Deadpool being unleashed.”
“DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE” opens in U.S. & Canadian movie theaters on July 26 and will be available in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens everywhere. Check out the new trailer via the YouTube clip above.
As comicbook.com reports, Jackman appeared in nine X-Men movies as Wolverine until he retired from the role in “Logan.” Reynolds seemingly begged him to reprise the character for “Deadpool 3” (AKA “Deadpool & Wolverine”).
“There’s not a morning I don’t wake up where Ryan Reynolds is outside my house with posters saying, ‘Please.’ He was constantly asking me about it,” Jackman explained in a 2022 interview. “And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m done. I’m done, I’m done, I’m done, I’m done, I’m done.’ So then when he rang me, he was like, ‘Are you serious?’ So yeah. I’m a terrible poker player. All this time I was saying I was done, I really meant it. But anyway, somewhere deep down, this idea was obviously lurking and brewing.”
