*Lil Wayne’s lyric notebook from the ’90s is now on sale for $5 million after a lengthy legal battle over ownership concluded earlier this year.
TMZ reports that the lyric book was initially listed at $250K five years ago, but the price has surged, with Moments in Time justifying the increase by citing Wayne’s status as one of the greatest rappers.
The notebook became a point of contention in 2019 when a man claimed he found it in a car once owned by Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne demanded its return and issued a cease-and-desist to halt the sale, but the court ruled in favor of the finder after Wayne didn’t respond.
Now, it is available to anyone who can afford it.
Last year on The Pivot Podcast, Weezy revealed that he stopped writing down his lyrics after discovering that JAY-Z freestyles without using pen and paper.

“Like Biggie, love Biggie, love Jadakiss — I love all that sh*t, but Jay. The moment I heard it I stopped. You could ask my boy. ‘I heard that n-gga JAY-Z don’t write no more,” Lil Wayne said at the time.
“We went in the studio and we did ‘10,000 Bars’ and that was the last time I rapped anything off of a paper,” the hip-hop star added.
Meanwhile, Wayne is reportedly reuniting with the Hot Boys to release a new album, according to rapper Juvenile.
“Hot Boys [are] back together. What [are] you talking about put the Hot Boys back together? Show y’all ain’t keeping up with sh*t,” Juvenile said recently in a video.
“Turk gonna be with me tonight. I’m gonna be with BG next week. Me, Wayne, Turk, and BG, all of us gonna be on stage in New Orleans with Mannie Fresh and Birdman,” he continued. “And we already started working on a Hot Boys album. Any other f**king questions? Keep on askin’ put the Hot Boys together. Have some f**kin’ patience.”
