*Kevin Hart responded to Katt Williams calling him an “industry plant” during his viral interview with Shannon Sharpe on the Club Shay Shay podcast.
According to Williams, Hart is the Cardi B of comedy. You may recall when Kanye West called Cardi an industry plant allegedly put in place to take down Nicki Minaj.
“In fifteen years in Hollywood, no one in Hollywood has a memory of going to a sold-out Kevin Hart show, there being a line for him, [him] ever getting a standing ovation at any comedy club,” Williams told Sharpe, Complex reports.
“He already had his deals when he got here,” the funnyman added. “Have we heard of a comedian that came to LA and in his first year in LA, he had his own sitcom on network television? And had his own movie called ‘Soul Plane’ that he was leading? No, we’ve never heard of that before that person or since that person.”
Williams continued, “He just did his documentary with Chris Rock where he shows you that his whole upbringing in comedy was on the East Coast. So how, simultaneously, was he here in Los Angeles doing the same thing?”

In response to his remarks, Hart urged Williams to “get that anger up [out you], champ.”
“It’s honestly sad,” he wrote on social media. “In the meantime, please enjoy MY MOVIE TRAILER to my next film, “LIFT,” which will be dropping on [Netflix] in eight days! There is a moment in the trailer where [Gugu Mbatha-Raw] says, “They Really Love You” …I now know she’s talking about Katt”.

Williams’ interview with Sharpe reached a whopping 15 million views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Sharpe reacted to criticism that he didn’t ask the comedian enough follow-up questions about some of his pearl-clutching comments about his Hollywood peers.
“I never said I was a journalist,” Sharpe said in a podcast chat with Chad Johnson.
“Follow up question with what?” Sharpe said. “If you want hard-hitting questions, ’60 Minutes’ is the platform for you,” he added.
